Helping You Help Your Horse

As a human and animal chiropractor and a competitive rider Ida understands the importance of having a well functioning spine and body. She realises that the horse and rider intimately affect each other when it comes to biomechanics and movement. Therefore changing one or both can have huge effects on their performance as an equipage. Every horse deserves the chance to move freely without pain.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Horse Comes First

BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT

It is easy to book an appointment either by phone call, message or e-mail. Luckily there is not much you have to do to prepare for the appointment, but you will need to obtain veterinary consent before the first chiropractic treatment.

THE APPOINTMENT

I will come to your yard where the horse feels safe and comfortable. The appointment includes information about the horse's past history, postural and gait analysis, a biomechanical examination and treatment where appropriate. Tack and movement under rider is observed where indicated.
You will be provided with an individually tailored treatment plan depending on the case and activity level of the horse.

AFTER TREATMENT

The following day or two after chiropractic treatment your horse should have a day of rest. This is to allow the body to work with the changes that has occured during the treatment. This may differ from horses that have had previous treatment or are competing. Advice and exercises that will support further improvement of your horse in between treatments will be offered.
